JMBC College and Career Singles Ministry

The JMBC Singles Ministry exists to lead single young adults into saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and spiritual maturity found through Bible study, fellowship, missions and ministry.

The Singles Ministry holds weekly Bible studies and monthly fellowship events.  Our next Singles fellowship is Saturday, November 27 at the home of Daniel and Diana Cox.  

Also upcoming:  PASSION 2011!  This annual singles conference will be held in Atlanta in January and 16 members of our group are going.  A special offering to cover some of the trip's costs will be taken up at our annual Thanksgiving praise service on Wednesday, November 24.

Life Group - Every Sunday morning...

We are currently doing an in-depth study on how to know God's will for our lives.  God has a lot to say on the topic in His Word and we'll be learning all about that this fall.  Join us at 9:45 am this Sunday morning as we continue to go deeper in our relationship with God.

Saturday night at our fellowship event, we had a good time playing games and hanging out.  We also had a devotion where we discussed the sin of pride. We discussed the symptoms of pride (spotty prayer life, anger, critical attitude, weariness, impatience, stubbornness, vanity) and why the sin of pride is so dangerous. 

In the Old Testament book of Daniel, we read about a king who was so proud that he thought he had no need for God.  He looked around at his kingdom and thought he was responsible for the greatness and glory of his kingdom. As chapter 4 says...
