Pastors
Jackson Memorial is indebted to its pastors for their hard work and leadership throughout our first 100 years. These men were faithful shepherds answering God's call to minister to His flock in our congregation. We have been blessed by their dedicated service.

Who is Jackson?
Rev. J. B. Jackson served as pastor at our church (then called Prentis Place Baptist Church) from May 1914 to November 1919. This consecrated man of God served his church and his God faithfully until God saw fit to call him home on November 13, 1919. In his quiet and Christlike manner, he moved through his congregation and the community making friends and winning souls for Christ. After a short illness, Jackson passed away while still pastor. In 1923, the church voted to rename the church Jackson Memorial Baptist Church in his memory.
